Fortech Engineering is a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering firm based in Waterloo, Ontario. We design building systems for institutional, commercial, industrial, and multi-residential projects across Canada — from high-rise condominiums to processing facilities, healthcare, office, and retail buildings.

Founded in 2008 by Jordan Acri, P.Eng, Fortech was built on a single premise: relentless efficient design. The right system — not oversized out of caution, not undersized to save drafting hours. Overdesign costs the owner in first cost, operating cost, and space they'll never use. Underdesign costs them in callbacks and comfort. The line between the two is where the actual engineering work lives, and it's where we spend our time. The firm name is short for Forward Thinking Technologies.

The firm has grown for nearly twenty years because clients, architects, and contractors keep coming back — not because we've chased volume. What that looks like on a project: senior engineers involved in the actual design, right-sized systems based on real load analysis, coordination that survives bid day, and documents that get built.
