Ryan Thatcher

Ryan Thatcher has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Ryan is currently working as the Director of Process Development at Fortera Corporation since September 2019. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at Univfy from January 2018 to August 2019.

From 2016 to 2017, Ryan worked as a Data Scientist at Chemetry, where they implemented cleaning algorithms to remove errors from pilot plant data and created an interactive online dashboard for real-time plant analytics. Prior to Chemetry, they were a Scientist at Calera from March 2012 to December 2016, where they designed and executed experimental plans, managed pilot plant production, and ensured product quality assurance.

In their early career, Ryan was a Research Associate at Calera from September 2008 to March 2012, where they developed software and hardware for lab process units, managed interns, and produced demonstration products. Ryan also worked as a Research Assistant at Alfred University from May 2006 to May 2008, focusing on modifying glass slides surfaces and studying protein stabilizing abilities.

Ryan started their career as a Manufacturing Technician at Eastman Kodak in December 2004, where they identified product consistency, conducted photolithography processes, and ensured photo sensor quality.

Ryan Thatcher received a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Alfred University from the years 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical Materials Science and Engineering from the same university from 2005 to 2007. In 2016, they obtained a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity.
