Victor Gamra

Victor Gamra is the Founder and CTO at FortifyData. Victor was previously the Head of Information Security & Compliance | CISO at FactorTrust from March 2016 to February 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic leadership of the company's information security program, providing guidance and counsel to the President and key members of the company’s leadership team, working closely with senior IT administration and business units in defining objectives for information security, while building relationships and goodwill.

Gamra led the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies and practices to secure protected and sensitive data and ensure information security and compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation. Victor also developed a strategy for handling increasing number of audits, compliance checks and external assessment processes for internal/external auditors, PCI, SOC 2 and FISMA. Victor coordinated and tracked all information technology and security related audits including scope of audits, business units involved, timelines, auditing agencies and outcomes.

Victor has also created security education and awareness programs and advised operating units at all levels on security issues, best practices, and vulnerabilities. Gamra provides leadership, direction and guidance in assessing and evaluating information security risks and monitors compliance with security standards and appropriate policies.

Victor Gamra has a B.Sc. in Information Security & Assurance from Kennesaw State University and is certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Victor is also certified by ISACA as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and by the PCI Security Standards Council as a Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA) and Payment Card Industry Professional (PCI P).
