Jason Abate has a diverse background in technology and leadership spanning multiple roles. Starting as a Graduate Research Assistant at Argonne National Laboratory from May 1995 to June 1999, Jason focused on algorithmic approaches to computational differentiation and parallel computing. Following this, Jason served as Director of Engineering at Hostway Corporation from March 1999 to June 2007, where responsibilities included designing core software infrastructure and managing technical teams. In June 2007, Jason co-founded Panopta LLC, leading the company as CEO until its acquisition by Fortinet in December 2020, overseeing product development and team growth. Currently, Jason holds the position of GM for FortiMonitor at Fortinet, where leadership involves managing engineering and operations to enhance SaaS infrastructure monitoring and incident management functionalities.
