John Zhu

John Zhu is a Staff Software Engineer at Proofpoint, specializing in cloud applications, data security, and distributed systems. With extensive experience in Java, Python, C/C++, and AWS, John has a proven track record of developing scalable microservices and optimizing system performance. Prior to Proofpoint, John held key roles at companies such as Fortinet, Itron, Sony Mobile Communications, and ZONARE Medical Systems, where they led teams in building innovative software solutions. John is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Optical Physics from Wuhan University and a Master's in Computer Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
