Qiang Shen

Qiang Shen is an experienced software development professional with a focus on cyber security and networking technologies. Currently serving as the Director of Software Development at Fortinet since January 2022, Qiang Shen leads software engineering initiatives for cyber security product development, including the FortiGate/FortiWIFI Firewall and contributions to Linux Kernel Security and network cryptography. Prior experience includes a tenure as Principal Software Engineer at Juniper Networks, where Qiang Shen was instrumental in technical innovations, including patents related to ASIC acceleration and Quality of Service mechanisms. Qiang Shen's background also includes significant roles at Salira Systems, Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, and ZTE, contributing to the development of network management systems and various security product enhancements. Qiang Shen holds both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wuhan University.
