Rakesh Goyal

Rakesh Goyal is a Principal Engineer at Fortinet since October 2014, bringing extensive experience in networking and system testing. Prior to Fortinet, Rakesh worked at Cisco for over 15 years, initially as a technical lead in the Nexus Validation Test team, focusing on cross-platform solution validation for data center products, and later as a lead in the Catalyst 6500 System Test team, where responsibilities included system-level testing for enterprise solutions. Rakesh's career began at Bay Networks/Nortel, serving as a project lead in system testing, where contributions included test strategy development and management of test cycles. Rakesh holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San José State University, completed between 1986 and 1993.
