Riku Valpas

Riku Valpas has extensive experience in systems engineering and project management, currently serving as the Director of Systems Engineering at Fortinet since November 2009 after progressing through roles including Sr. Manager and Systems Engineer. Prior to Fortinet, Riku held a Project Manager position at Juniper Networks, and spent over eight years at Nixu Corporation in various capacities, including Operations Manager and Technical Manager, where responsibilities spanned professional services sales, project management, and IT business development. Earlier in Riku's career, work included roles as a Technical Consultant and Project Manager in Finland, and a Researcher in nuclear energy at IVO Power Engineering Ltd. Riku holds a Master's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Aalto University, completed in 1999.
