James Widener

James Widener is an accomplished professional in product security, currently serving as the Director of Product Security at Fortive since May 2021. Prior roles include Chief Security Architect at Hitachi ABB Power Grids and at ABB, where James established the Application Security Program and a comprehensive risk management program for software development. Additional experience includes managing security for projects at Dell, performing security assessments at Spohn & Associates, and leading product development at Manisys Corporation. James has also worked as a Security Engineer and Software Engineer, contributing to various security and engineering projects throughout a career that began in 1997. Education includes studies at St. Mary's University and the University of Texas at Brownsville.
