Mark Smith

Mark Smith currently serves as the Director of New Product Development at Fortive, where responsibilities include coaching and advising leaders on the implementation of Fortive Business System best practices to enhance product development efficiency and quality. Prior experience includes a senior role as Software Engineering Manager at Tektronix, leading system architecture across the software portfolio, and serving as VP of Product Development at Vox, where Mark managed a team focused on continuous speech recognition systems. Additional experience encompasses roles as Product Manager at Conversay and Conversational Computing, focusing on speech recognition technology and software products, and at Prometheus, defining products for data and fax modems. Mark holds a Master’s and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Portland State University and attended the United States Naval Academy.
