Lead Mechanical Engineer – Automated Technologies

Chris Mudd is a resourceful Project Engineer currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer for Automated Technologies at FORTNA. With a diverse background in mechanical and electrical engineering, Chris has successfully developed and deployed robotic systems in the material handling industry. Previously, they held various roles at Material Handling Systems, Inc., including Robotics Project Engineer, where they led the development of an industry-first $100M robotic singulation machine. Chris’s experience also includes positions at Stansteel and Hotmix Parts & Service, and GE, where they focused on design and prototyping for various applications. Chris is pursuing degrees in Mechanical Drafting and Advanced Manufacturing Technology from Sullivan College of Technology and Design and Sullivan University, respectively.
