Michael Grutter

Michael Grutter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mechanical design and layout design for material handling systems. Currently serving as a Sr. Layout Designer at FORTNA since October 2022, Michael produces approval and installation drawings for conveyor systems in warehouses and distribution centers. As the Owner and Mechanical Designer at Cedar Engineering and Design Service, LLC, since March 2009, Michael provides design support for various projects. Previous roles include Sr. Layout Designer at Material Handling Systems, Inc., and TGW Systems, Inc., where responsibilities involved creating detailed drawings for conveyor systems. Additional experience includes steel detailing at Sandmold Systems and project management at Genzink Steel. Michael's educational background includes a vocational degree in sheet metal from Grand Rapids Community College, completed between 1987 and 1989.
