Lane Thames

Lane Thames is a Principal Cybersecurity Researcher at Fortra, where they develop software for vulnerability detection, automation solutions, and conduct cybersecurity research. They have previously worked as a Senior Security Researcher at Tripwire and a Software Development Engineer at Verisign, among other roles. Lane has published two books on cybersecurity and contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications on topics including machine learning and cloud-based design. Having received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Lane has over 23 years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, and information technology.
