Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an experienced professional in supply strategy and contract management with a robust background in environmental management and landscape architecture. Currently serving in a position at Fortum since November 2021, Mark previously held roles at Viridor as Contract Manager and Landfill Commercial and Fuel Quality Manager, and at Greenlight Environmental Ltd as General Manager. In this latter role, responsibilities included managing daily operations, overseeing a £3m budget, and leading a team of over 100 employees. Prior experience includes serving as Trust Manager at Greater Easterhouse Environmental Trust, where financial management and compliance were critical, and as a Landscape Architect at BDP and ASH Consulting Group.
