Markus Johnsson has extensive experience in the hydro power sector, currently serving as the Director of Pumped Hydro Storage at Fortum since November 2010, where responsibilities include exploring opportunities for building pumped storage in Sweden. Previous roles at Fortum include Manager of Large Project Portfolio Optimisation, where project prioritization and CAPEX allocation are managed for hydro power plants in Finland and Sweden, and Manager of Project Management and Engineering West SE, overseeing project managers and investment projects in Sweden. Markus has also held positions in business development and project management within the hydro power industry at ANDRITZ HYDRO, GE Energy, and Semcon Sweden AB, as well as earlier project management roles at Uddeholm Tooling and CATS.
