Mervi Söderlund

Mervi Söderlund is a Senior Radiation Protection Engineer at Fortum, where they contribute to nuclear-related customer projects and environmental radiation surveillance. They previously held positions as a Senior Specialist and Design Engineer at Fortum. Mervi earned a PhD from the University of Helsinki, focusing on the interaction of boreal forest soil components with radionuclides, and has extensive research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher. They also worked as a Radiochemist at Fennovoima, where their responsibilities included radiological environment baseline studies and project management for environmental radiation monitoring systems. Mervi is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Radiochemistry at the University of Helsinki.
