Sofia Reenkola

Sofia Reenkola is an experienced privacy and data protection professional currently serving as Group Data Protection Officer and Privacy Manager at Fortum since August 2018. Previously, Sofia was on study leave as a Doctoral Student at the University of Helsinki's Faculty of Law from September 2020 to August 2021, focusing on information and communication law. Prior to Fortum, Sofia held the position of Privacy Manager at Sanoma (April 2011 - July 2018) and also worked as a Paralegal, dealing with insider matters, contract and document management, as well as corporate and securities issues. Earlier entrepreneurial ventures include co-owning Soul B, where responsibilities included sourcing, agreements, finances, and compliance, and co-owning Bar One Drop from January 2006 to January 2011. Sofia's educational background includes a Doctor of Law Candidate (JD) degree in Communication and Information Law and a Master of Social Sciences in Politics, both from the University of Helsinki.
