Stuart Spinks

Stuart Spinks has extensive experience in power plant management, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Power Plant Manager at Fortum since November 1995, Stuart oversees the operation, maintenance, and HSE performance of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant. Prior roles include Technical Manager and Shift Engineer at Fortum, where responsibilities encompassed mechanical maintenance and ensuring operational safety and efficiency. Previously, Stuart worked as Shift Manager at AEA Technology, Dounreay, managing safety for the Prototype Fast Reactor, and as Assistant Shift Manager, where oversight of the Central Control Room was key. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Open University and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in the same field from the University of the West of Scotland.
