VP Worldwide Sales at Forum Systems

Michael Canton has a diverse work experience in sales and management roles. Michael started their career as an Associate System Engineer at Apple Inc. in 1990, providing technical support and conducting demos for enterprise and education accounts. Michael then joined Dataflex Corporation in 1991 as a Sales Leader, where they were responsible for the Lotus and Apple sales quotas and managed a team of specialists.

In 1996, Canton moved to Lotus Development as a Senior System Engineer, managing Lotus technical responsibilities for enterprise accounts and working with IBM Global Services and Business Partners to provide solutions. Michael then joined International Business Machines (IBM) in 2000 as a Senior Software Sales Representative, managing the Lotus Software business for IBM's largest accounts in the Southeast and developing a focused marketing plan.

Canton then transitioned to various roles in different companies. Michael worked as a Regional Sales Director at CAST from 2011 to 2013, introducing software analysis and measurement technology. Michael joined Cloud Sherpas in 2013 as a Sales Manager, helping organizations transition into the cloud and providing CRM and application development services.

In 2014, Canton joined RiskIQ as a Regional Sales Manager, focusing on external threat detection and customer experience. Michael then moved to Forum Systems in 2015, initially as a Regional Sales Director for the Southeast region and later as the Director of US Sales. Currently, Canton holds the position of VP Worldwide Sales at Forum Systems, overseeing the industry's only FIPS 140-2 and NIAP NDPP certified API Security Gateway product.

Throughout their career, Canton has demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing, relationship building, and technical support, making him a valuable asset in the software and technology industry.

Michael Canton attended the University of Florida from 1984 to 1987, where they completed an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Engineering. Michael then went on to study Computer Engineering at the University of South Florida from 1987 to 1989.
