Brian Murphy, CPA, CFE, currently serves in the Fraud and Task Force - Internal Audit at FORVIA since May 2023. Prior to this role, Brian was the Compliance Lead - Internal Audit at Whirlpool Corporation from June 2021 to May 2023, where responsibilities included strategic guidance for senior leadership on risk mitigation and compliance investigations. Brian's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant in Forensic & Valuation Services at Plante Moran from August 2015 to June 2021, where Brian conducted extensive investigations and internal control reviews, as well as developed training content for staff development. Additional positions at Plante Moran included Learning & Development Fellow and Assurance Staff, along with internships at Plante Moran and the Office of Inspector General. Brian holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Valley State University and a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University.
