Jonathan Rand

Jonathan Rand is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and finance. Currently serving as the Head of Operational Risk at the Bank of England since September 1999, Jonathan has influenced non-financial risk processes and oversees the organizational risk framework. Previous roles at the Bank include Head of US Banks Supervision, where leadership in prudential supervision and operational resilience policy was emphasized, and Head of Market Intelligence, focusing on market liaison and policy influence. Additionally, Jonathan has held high-level positions related to operational design during financial crises and has contributed as Head of Finance at theSpaceUK and as a Fellow at the Forward Institute. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Finance from London Business School and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.
