Rick Kennedy

Rick Kennedy is the current Texas Interim State Lead for the Forward Party. Rick has been involved in politics since 2017 when they ran for United States Congress in the 17th District of Texas as a Democratic Party nominee. During their campaign, Rick established a campaign strategy, budget and plan, participated in public candidate forums and speaking events, and managed all finances and filings with the Federal Election Commission. Rick also oversaw all voter communication including television ad production and placements, social media ads and postings, targeted mail pieces, face to face voter contact, handouts, and signage.

Prior to their involvement in politics, Rick worked as a Senior Project Manager for various companies including Sopris Systems, LLC, Charles Schwab, and mcaConnect. In these positions, Rick was responsible for leading and managing project teams, developing project plans, budgets and schedules, and ensuring successful project delivery. Rick also has experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and change management.

Rick Kennedy has a BS in Computer Science from Penn State University. Rick also has certification from the Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Master and Microsoft in Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations.

Rick Kennedy reports to Andrew Yang, Founder. They work with Michael Ossa - Texas Interim State Lead (PC), Laura Del Savio - Senior Communications Strategist, and Will Conway - National Organizing Director.
