Fostering Acadia is a licensed independent living program that serves over 100 youth, ages 17-21, with life skill development and case management services to support their transition out of foster care and into adulthood.

Fostering Acadia was founded by former foster parents and was created through the lens of being a foster parent rather than a foster care professional. Fostering Acadia serves youth from across the state of Virginia and operates out of two campuses in Richmond and Tidewater.

- Focus on supporting youth with achieving the Fostering Acadia Discharge Eight goals
- Individualized case management support based on youth's specific needs and goals
- Intentional focus on developing strong relationships with youth to support their growth and transition to adulthood
- Personalized one-bedroom apartment, furnished with all of the essentials needed for daily living
- Access to in-house specialized services, including car incentive program, educational program, youth savings program and Acadia Together
