Nathan Smith

Nathan Smith currently serves as the Supportive Services Program Manager at Foundation Communities since December 2023. Prior roles include Program Coordinator and Team Lead at Family Eldercare, where Nathan coordinated and led the SOAR program focused on assisting individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness in accessing Social Security disability benefits. Additional experience includes serving as the SOAR Local Lead for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a SOAR Specialist at Front Steps, Inc., and a Housing Case Manager at Raphael Academy. Nathan's career in social services began with roles such as an Americorps Vista at Second Harvest Food Bank and an English Second Language Teacher at Shanghai New Epoch School. Nathan holds a Master of Science in Sociology from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola University New Orleans.
