Moneka Lyons

Moneka Lyons has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors. From 2006 to 2014, they worked in Corporate Healthcare Management roles at various organizations such as Mary Washington Healthcare, Ann & Robert H Lurie Childrens Hospital, USPA, and Couer Mining. In these roles, they managed contracts and procurement, analyzed contractual metrics, and designed process workflows. Moneka also worked as a Manager of Contracts and Procurement Division, Contract Analyst, Purchasing Agent, Capital Buyer, and Buyer.

From 2013 until 2021, Lyons held a position in PWCS, SCPS, Close Up Foundation as an Educator and Training and Professional Development Manager. In this role, they developed recruitment strategies, monitored and reported on program effectiveness, and implemented assessment and evaluation methods to measure impact and success.

Currently, Lyons is the Head of Learning Training and Development at Founder Shield since December 2021. Their responsibilities include overseeing and facilitating the execution of the company's learning and development training program, training colleagues and leadership on workplace interactions and professional development, and analyzing training needs to develop new programs.

Moneka Lyons completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Thomas Edison State University from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2004. Moneka later obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General from Thomas Edison State University, although the specific years are not specified.

In addition to their formal education, Moneka Lyons has obtained several certifications. Moneka became a SMART Certified Educator and a SMART Digital Trainer through SMART Technologies in September 2021. Moneka also achieved the Canvas Certified Educator certification from Instructure in May 2021. Other certifications include the Build Your Own Professional Training: Quick Start Guide from LinkedIn in April 2021, the K-12 Personalized Learning Certificate, K-12 Engagement Strategies Certificate, and K-12 Foundational Frameworks Certificate from Instructure in 2021. Furthermore, they earned the Teaching through Simultaneous, Hybrid, Virtual Instruction Certificate from Prince William County Public Schools in October 2020.

Moneka Lyons has also obtained various certifications in previous years. In August 2018, they completed the Stewards of Children Darkness to Light program offered by Stewards of Children NKY. In May 2018, they were awarded the Implemented Practice and Strategy certificate from Prince William County Public Schools. Moneka also holds the COR Modules Certificate: Creating Opportunities through Relationships from Prince William County Public Schools (January 2018), the Teaching English Learners (EL) with Sheltered Content Instruction (SI) School-Based certificate from Prince William County Public Schools (November 2017), the Wise Financial Literacy Certificate (CPF) from EVERFI (August 2015), and the Skillful Teacher Cohort certification from Research for Better Teaching Inc. through Prince William County Public Schools (January 2015).

Additionally, Moneka Lyons obtained the L.E.A.N certified-White Belt certification from Six Sigma in January 2013 and the Mental Health CPR certification from the Close Up Education Foundation in December 2019.
