Hein Moller

Hein Moller is an experienced materials engineer and academic with a focus on metallurgical engineering. Currently serving as a Materials Engineer at Foundry Lab since March 2024, Moller specializes in digital metal casting. In addition, Moller holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria's Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, contributing expertise in metal additive manufacturing and supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Prior roles include Chief Engineer at Mintek, leading the Physical Metallurgy Group and the Precious Metals Development Network, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria. Moller has extensive research experience from their tenure at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, with a strong emphasis on advanced casting technologies and laser-enabled manufacturing. Moller earned a PhD, MEng, and BEng in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, with foundational education at Hoërskool Pionier.
