Roy Yang

Head Of Creative Services - AMER & APAC at Foundry

Roy Yang has a comprehensive work experience in the creative services industry. Roy started their career as a Visual Effects Supervisor and Digital Compositor at Shanghai Film Studio from July 1999 to April 2005. After that, Roy worked at their own production studio, Zendo Productions and Studio, as an Owner and Director from May 2005 to December 2006. Roy then worked as a Flame Artist at Method Studios for a brief period in March 2007. Roy later joined Moving Pixels as a Flame Artist in May 2008 and then worked as a Digital Compositor at Zoic Studios from June 2008 to October 2008. Roy also had a role as a Compositing Technical Director at Rhythm & Hues from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, Roy worked as a Senior Compositing TD at Hydraulx. Roy further expanded their skills by working as a Digital Compositor at Digital Domain from January 2011 to May 2012. At Foundry, Roy held multiple roles, including Creative Specialist from May 2012 to August 2013, Head of Creative Services – APAC from October 2013 to July 2023, and currently is the Head of Creative Services - AMER & APAC, responsible for managing a multicultural team, providing regional customer support and workflow consultation, and collaborating with global teams on new product launches, content creation, and localization.

Roy Yang attended Tongji University from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Industrial Design and Architecture Design.
