Samantha Bindman has a diverse background in research and analysis. Samantha started their career as a Research Analyst at Seattle Public Schools in 2016, where they focused on racial and ethnic disproportionality in school discipline and parent involvement in student transitions. Samantha also collaborated on a targeted intervention at one middle school. In 2017, they joined foundry10 as a Research Scientist, where they led and consulted on various research projects, including arts and technology program evaluations and studies on the impact of technology on learning and family interactions. Their current areas of focus include interactive digital media for families and young children, applications of virtual reality for learning, digital citizenship, and the power of dramatic arts in education. Prior to this, Samantha was a NICHD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012 to 2015.

Samantha Bindman completed their education in Developmental and Child Psychology, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Michigan from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Grinnell College from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
