Neph Basedow Brasher

Neph Basedow Brasher is an experienced journalist and copywriter with a diverse background in music journalism and freelance work. Since March 2008, Neph has operated as a freelance journalist, contributing to various publications including The Austin Chronicle from June 2014 to January 2017 and Austin Monthly Magazine from December 2013 to April 2015, focusing on music critique. Neph also served as a music journalist for the Houston Press between September 2010 and December 2014. In addition to journalism, Neph held multiple roles at Four Hands from January 2020 to February 2025, including Senior Copywriter, Copy Manager, and Copywriter. Prior to these positions, Neph worked at The Onion in 2009 in a marketing capacity and was a private guitar instructor from June 2001 to March 2020. Neph holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a minor in Music from The University of Texas at Austin.
