Tim Gabel

Tim Gabel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tim began their career at Jerry's Hockey Warehouse as a Sales Associate and Equipment Repair from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2015, they worked as a Carpenter/Labor at BHC Construction, LLC, where they performed repairs, construction, and interior trim work in nursing homes, medical facilities, and residential homes.

In 2012, Tim interned at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, first in the Industrial Claims Unit, where they drafted legal memoranda challenging worker's compensation claims. Later, in the Torts and Civil Rights Unit, they drafted motions and memoranda defending Cook County against civil suits. Tim also interned at the Appellate Court of Illinois, observing oral arguments and drafting a judicial opinion for a murder case.

From 2013 to 2014, Tim worked as a Legal Intern at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in the Municipal Litigation Unit, drafting motions, legal memoranda, and preparing responses to subpoenas. Tim then moved on to SMS Assist, L.L.C., where they held several compliance management positions. As a Compliance Manager, they managed portfolios of vendors, reviewed contracts and insurance documentation, and trained new hires on agreements and insurance requirements. Tim also supervised teams of Compliance and Contract Specialists.

Currently, Tim works at FourKites, Inc. as a Contracts Manager and Senior Legal Operations Manager, responsible for managing vendor contracts, negotiating master service agreements, and overseeing legal operations. Overall, Tim Gabel has gained extensive experience in compliance, legal operations, and contract management throughout their career.

Tim Gabel pursued their higher education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science in the years 2007-2011. Subsequently, they attended the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law from 2011-2014, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
