Matthieu Chartier

Matthieu Chartier's work experience began in 2008 as an International Project Intern at Écologie Sans Frontière. In 2009, they worked as a Wildlife Interpreter at Parcs Canada, where they educated the public on the park's mission and conducted educational presentations. In 2010, Matthieu became a Biologist at Parcs Canada, assessing water bodies and monitoring the health of natural habitats. Matthieu also worked as a PhD student at Université de Sherbrooke from 2010 to 2016, focusing on structural bioinformatics and developing informatic tools for computational chemistry. Since 2012, Matthieu has been the Founder and CEO of Fourwaves, a platform for scientific events designed to help academics share their knowledge and manage all aspects of their events in one place.

Matthieu Chartier completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2016. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the same university from 2006 to 2015. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Matthieu completed a DEC en Sciences de la nature (Diploma of College Studies in Natural Sciences) from Cégep Gérald-Godin from 2004 to 2006.
