Jie Wang is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in Android application development and video streaming technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Video Player Engineer at Fox Corporation since March 2024, Jie Wang is responsible for developing new features for mobile and living room live streaming with Exoplayer and managing project planning and execution. Previously, at WhatsApp from May 2021 to January 2023, Jie Wang led the implementation of Android 14 API into the WhatsApp application. While at Facebook from July 2015 to May 2021, Jie Wang customized Exoplayer to enhance video performance under low network conditions and contributed to the Android open source community.
