James Smith

James Smith is an experienced software engineer with a robust background in electrical and biomedical engineering. Currently a Senior Software Engineer at Foxglove since June 2022, James has previously worked as a Software Engineer at Baraja and a Senior Software Engineer at Cruise Automation, specializing in building autonomous vehicles. Earlier career experience includes roles at Jacon Technologies Pty Ltd and Cochlear, where James focused on circuit design, PCB layout, and application development within regulatory frameworks. Additionally, James has interned at BCS Intl. and served as a Lab Demonstrator at UNSW Australia, complementing a strong academic foundation with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering from UNSW.
