Established in January 1994 at the Verbal Arts Centre, Foyle Women’s Information Network (FWIN) was born from a shared vision among women to create a supportive network dedicated to empowering women across the North West of Northern Ireland. We recognized the pressing need to enhance women's skills and increase their participation in social, educational, and political development at both local and strategic levels.

FWIN is committed to addressing the diverse needs of women by focusing on educational, emotional, physical, health, and cultural development. Our network aims to advance education and protect health, providing vital resources for women facing social or economic challenges.

Our mission is clear: to increase the capacity, visibility, and voice of women throughout the North West. We uphold core values that guide our work:
