Tim Caldecott is an accomplished professional in sustainable construction and carbon economics with extensive experience at FPInnovations since 2008, currently serving as Senior Director of Sustainable Construction, Carbon and Market Economics. Leading a team of 28 experts, Tim focuses on promoting sustainable wood systems in building projects through essential research and development for industry standards. Prior to this role, Tim developed and implemented carbon strategies for the organization and managed significant R&D projects within the forest sector as BC Provincial Leader. Earlier career experiences include project management for a rural agriculture development initiative at the United Nations Development Program and an analyst position at Jaakko Poyry Consulting in London. Tim holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of British Columbia, including Master's degrees in Forest Sciences and Wood Science, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biopsychology.
