Matthew Hardy

With 20 years of experience managing key appointments in real estate and infrastructure, Matt will establish and lead the Ferguson Partners Australia office. His clients include a broad range of real estate fund managers and investment groups including REITS, investment banks, private equity, advisory groups, superannuation funds and sovereign funds.

Before joining Ferguson Partners, Matt was a founder and Managing Partner of a leading real estate and infrastructure-focused executive search and consultancy business. Prior to his time in executive search, Matt has had extensive experience at a senior level in direct real estate, equities and funds management over 25 years. He has worked as a valuer and consultant in direct property in the UK and Australia for global groups Richard Ellis and Jones Lang Wootton, and also as a senior REIT analyst for Hambros Equities, and as Director, Head of Property Investments for Barclays Global Investors where he managed all real estate funds in Australia. He was General Manager to the listed Capital Property Trust (CPT), presiding over the only three-way stapling of property entities (MPG, MPT and CPT) for CPT investors, and Head of Investments and Developments for Mirvac Funds Management where he drove strategy and new business development. After leaving the executive of Mirvac he was a Non- Executive Director of Mirvac Funds Limited until 2013 and is currently Chairman of Centuria Healthcare Asset Management and a Non-Executive Director of Centuria Property Funds Limited, an Australian based Fund Manager with approximately $10 billion of funds under management.

Matt has a degree in Urban Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
