Martin Kess is currently the Head of Engineering at Fractal Software. Prior to this, they were a Staff Software Engineer at Lyft, where they worked on making last mile transit operations fast and cost effective. Before Lyft, Martin was a Principal Software Engineer at Namely, where they built the best HR and payroll software for humans. Prior to Namely, Martin worked as a Software Engineer at Google, where they worked on Cloud Pub/Sub and Cloud IoT - building distributed systems at planetary scale. Before Google, Martin worked as a Quantitative Developer at TUDOR INVESTMENT CORPORATION, where they were heads down building the world's best low latency trading software in C++ on Linux. Martin has also held positions as a Staff Software Engineer at Broadway Technology and as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon.
Martin Kess has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
Martin Kess reports to Omri Bloch, CEO. They are on a team with Scott Bordenave - Head of Portfolio Recruiting, Mike Furlong - Co-Founder, and Daniel Judd - VP, Operations.
