Chris Smith

Chris Smith currently serves as VP Software at Fractile since March 2024. Prior to this role, Chris was a member of the Technical Steering Committee and an alternate Board Member at RISE from May to December 2023. Chris spent a decade at Imagination Technologies, culminating as Vice President of Software Engineering, leading a global team of over 300 engineers with a budget exceeding $30M and focusing on various segments including automotive, mobile, and desktop. Chris has extensive experience in software development, having built tools for digital communications and embedded systems at STMicroelectronics, and holds a BEng(Hons) in Electronic and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham and is currently completing the Chief Technology Officer Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
