Jerry Chavers

Jerry Chavers is a Principal Design Engineering Specialist II at Framatome, where they provide multi-discipline design and engineering support for installed base plant modifications throughout North America. With over 40 years of experience in the utility and power industry, they have worked on projects across Hydro, Fossil, and Nuclear power plant design and modification, including steam generator replacements and the latest generation of nuclear power plant design certification efforts in the U.S. Previously, Jerry held the position of Technical Specialist at Duke Energy Corporation from 1977 to 2002, focusing on coal, hydro, and nuclear power plant design and engineering. They earned an AAS in Civil Engineering Technology from Central Piedmont Community College between 1979 and 1982.
