John Oakes

John Oakes is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Supervisor of NDE Engineering at Framatome since March 2023. Previously, John held various engineering roles at BWX Technologies, Inc., from May 2016 to March 2023, including Metallurgical Engineer and Engineer. Prior to this, John worked at GKN Driveline, where responsibilities included Program Launch Manager and Lead Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on product launches and labor productivity improvements. John's career began at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, followed by roles at AW North Carolina, STEAG Microtech, Inc., and Reynolds Metals Company, steadily advancing through mechanical and manufacturing engineering roles. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University and a Diploma in Drafting/Design Engineering Technologies from Danville Community College.
