Simon Gerwig has extensive experience in engineering roles within the renewable energy and aerospace sectors. As a Heat-pump, solar and storage control architect at Domo Solaris from May 2016 to April 2019, Simon contributed to R&D efforts and product design for house retrofitting. Simon currently serves as an I&C System Engineer at Framatome, starting in October 2023. Previously, at Symbio from March 2021 to September 2023, Simon held dual roles as Fuel Cell Control Team Leader and Fuel Cell Control Architect for the Renault Master project, focusing on control architecture design and performance optimization. Earlier, Simon worked as a Hydroelectric Powerplant Modelling, Simulation, and Control Research Engineer at GE Renewable Energy, completing a CIFRE Thesis related to multivariable control of hydraulic systems, which led to a patent and a conference paper. Simon's early career included designing brushless DC motor controllers for ZODIAC AERO ELECTRIC. Simon holds an Engineer's Degree from ECAM Lyon, with a concentration in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, electrical engineering, programming, and automatic control.
