Xavier Charton

Xavier Charton is an accomplished thermal hydraulic and neutronics team manager at Framatome, leading a team of 15 to 20 engineers in the Process & Safety division since May 2021. Responsibilities include managing small modular reactor (SMR) development, standardizing fault studies, and advancing methodologies for safety margins and plant operability. Previously, Xavier served as a configuration manager for the UK EPR HPC project, overseeing the technical and contractual aspects of nuclear heat production systems, equipment supplies, and safety instrumentations, while managing change processes and budgetary controls. With extensive experience in nuclear safety and engineering roles at Edvance and Framatome since 2012, Xavier has also contributed to significant projects in China, India, and the UK, with a strong foundation in thermal-hydraulics and safety analysis. Educational background includes a Master's degree from Arts et Métiers and advanced studies at the National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology.
