Ilkka Järstä

CTO, Co-Founder at Frameright

Ilkka Järstä has a long and varied work experience. Ilkka began their career in 2003 as a Co-Founder and Full-stack Developer at Crossing Points, a digital media production and planning partnership. From 2004 to 2009, they worked as a Head Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Aalto University, where they coordinated and taught Master's Studio in Service Design and Engineering and taught courses in Cross-cultural Management, Media Production, Digital Service Development, Product Development, and Java Programming. In 2010, they Co-Founded Kelvin, an independent digital agency based in Helsinki. In 2016, they became a Product Manager at Teagle Group Ltd. In 2017, they Co-Founded Frameright, a software and cloud service solution, and served as its CTO. In 2018, they became a YTILI Fellow at the U.S. Department of State. Ilkka also had a freelance career from 2009 to 2010, providing technology consulting and full-stack development.

Ilkka Järstä's education history includes a Master of Science degree from Aalto University, which they are currently pursuing. Prior to this, they attended Stanford University for the Engineering Design Entrepreneurship Program in 2007-2008. Ilkka also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Aalto University, which they obtained in 2002-2016. Ilkka studied Knowledge Intensive Business and International Design Business Management. In 2007, they attended Louvain School of Management for Innovation Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Finance. Ilkka attended Munkkiniemen Yhteiskoulu from 1998-2001. Ilkka Järstä also holds a Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance.
