James Whitlam

James Whitlam is an accomplished visual effects professional with extensive experience across prominent companies in the film and episodic sectors. Currently serving as Executive Vice President, Film & Episodic, and Managing Director - Episodic at Framestore since June 2016. Whitlam has earned dual BAFTA awards for *James's Dark Materials* S1 and S2, and played a pivotal role in Academy Award-nominated visual effects for *Christopher Robin* and *Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2*. Previous roles include Senior Visual Effects Producer at Iloura, Co-Chair for the Australia Section of the Visual Effects Society, and Head of CG at Ambience Entertainment, where significant contributions to award-winning projects were made. With a career that spans more than two decades, James Whitlam has been instrumental in driving visual effects innovation for major studios and garnered multiple accolades in the industry.
