John Keates

John Keates is a seasoned 3D Generalist with extensive experience in the visual effects and animation industry. Currently serving as the Lead Generalist at Framestore since May 2020, John previously held the position of 3D Generalist at Proof Inc. for a brief period in April 2020. John's earlier roles include working at Acute from October 2018 to February 2020, where responsibilities involved creating VR experiences using Maya, and leading a team on Fantastic Beasts 2 at Proof Inc. between December 2016 and March 2018. Additional experience encompasses various short-term positions across multiple companies, focusing on general 3D tasks including modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation. John holds a Fine Art BA degree from Coventry University, completed in 2000.
