Sue Nelson

Sue Nelson is an accomplished Senior Compositor with extensive experience in the visual effects industry. Currently employed at Framestore since July 2021, Sue has previously held prominent roles at Mr. X, including Head of Department for Shots and Lead Compositor, contributing to projects with high visual demands. Sue's expertise is further demonstrated through positions at notable studios such as Iloura, Animal Logic, Tippett Studio, and Scoundrel Inc., where skills in look development, 3D environment setup, and tool development have been refined. Early career experiences at Evil Eye Pictures and The Base Studio involved participation in high-profile films, showcasing a progression from roto/paint artist to senior compositing roles. Sue holds a BFA in Animation/Film/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design, earned between 2001 and 2005.
