Ajay Gopal

Ajay Gopal is a Partner at Framework Venture Partners. Based in Toronto, Ajay has more than 5 years of VC experience and nearly a decade of prior investing and capital markets experience. Ajay’s responsibilities with the firm include strategic board representation, deal sourcing and assisting portfolio companies with operational and strategic initiatives.

Prior to Framework, Ajay most recently worked in venture capital as an Associate Principal at the BDC IT Venture Fund in Toronto. Prior to this, Ajay worked with a variety of investment platforms including direct private equity and hedge fund strategies while initially starting his career in investment banking at Citigroup, straddling both New York City and Toronto. Possessing an entrepreneurial background, Ajay is a partner and advisor of a healthcare services company currently in operation in Toronto. As an engineer by educational background, Ajay is keenly interested in meeting with technology companies across all verticals and focused on helping entrepreneurs with the scaling journey.

Ajay holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School, as well as Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
