Nirav Patel

Nirav Patel is the founder of Framework, a software development company. Nirav previously worked as a director of engineering at Facebook from July 2014 to September 2019. Prior to that, they were an engineer at Oculus VR from October 2012 to September 2019, where they led the hardware architecture of every VR headset shipped during their tenure. Nirav also helped found Oculus's Diversity Task Force and led initiatives around inclusion. From July 2009 to September 2012, Nirav Patel worked as a software development engineer at Apple Inc. In May 2008, they participated in Google Summer of Code as a student with One Laptop Per Child.

Nirav Patel graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in electrical and computer engineering.
