Franklin Academy is a boarding and day college preparatory school in East Haddam, Connecticut, serving neurodivergent students in grades 8 through postgraduate. Our school is grounded in a strength-based philosophy that recognizes each student’s unique profile and potential. 

Small class sizes, differentiated instruction, and a collaborative advising model ensure that students are both challenged academically and supported in how they learn. Through a four-year college readiness curriculum, skill-based benchmarks, and a co-curricular transcript, students develop the habits, skills, and self-awareness needed for success beyond high school. Franklin’s integrated model extends beyond the classroom. Our boarding and extended day programs provide structured opportunities to build independence, social connection, and real-world skills within a supportive community. Students engage in varsity athletics, performing and visual arts, an animal science program, clubs, and experiential learning that reinforce confidence and belonging.
