Birgit Geier

Birgit Geier has extensive experience in research coordination, particularly in the fields of information and communication technology as well as defense and security research. Currently serving as the head of the Research Coordination Department at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since April 2012, Birgit also held previous leadership roles within the organization, focusing on microelectronics and IuK. Prior experience includes positions at Max-Planck-Gesellschaft as a senior consultant and various engineering roles at Qimonda. Birgit's academic credentials include a doctoral degree in physics from Universität Augsburg and a Diplom in physics from the Technical University of Munich.
